PRINTS

The beginning of the prints. Using monoprinting.

Testing out screenprinting, just using cyan and magenta.
Drew the image out by hand. Very 'messy' and unsure, however, it is only an experiment!

Collagraph work, using an angry duck as the image.
I really like how these have turned out. I think the textures really work.

This is the plate that was used to ink up with oil paint.

Cyan, Yellow, Magenta and Black (CYMK):
The single colour prints, which when overlapped, changes colour and creates an overall image.

Magenta and cyan on the left and added yellow on the right.

Final Print:

PHOTOGRAPHS- for beginning of the project

These are the photo's that I took around my home town of Wetherby.
Most o them have been taken near the river.

The words that I had come up with to describe the photos were:

- Relaxing - Stoney
- Green - Quiet
- Quack -
- Nature

The prints that I have made are all linked, mostly with the ducks in the these photographs.

COLOUR!!

AUFWAR: Some simple images, with little pictures on the book, and some images that look really detailed and complex. The colours that have been put together work well.
However the second image down, I'm not keen on the yellow writing. I don't think that it can be read very easily, especially against the white background.

The image with the black background works better, and the cyan and magenta flower really stands out from it.

APELOIG: The overlapping of colour really grabs your attention, and again, the simple
shapes that make up the image works really well.

BLANKA: I really like the use of bright colour in these prints. Also the simplicity of them.

Still using illustrator, I am blacking out the areas that are going to be in colour.

OWN BRIEF!!

After being introduced to the print workshops, I have decided to use screen printing for my final brief.

I have decided to look at Wetherby, as my photo's reflect the town a lot.

Below is an image drawn in illustrator, by tracing my photograph. The photo is reflected, so that it is symmetrical, as this was one of my words at the beginning of the elective.
